Fanned out like a palm tree, the Palm Jumeeirah is a substantially completed development that boasts luxury living. Consisting a trunk and a crown with 16 fronds and a surrounding crescent island that forms an 11km long breakwater , it occupies 560 hectares about the size of 600 football fields.
The types of real estate available include villas, garden homes and shoreline apartment buildings and more than 75% were already sold. Prices range from 4.4 m dirhams for a 3-bedroom seaview apartment to 15 milllion for double-story 4-bedroom villa.
Sounds like a hell of a development, for a place to live! What is the USD equivalent for the pricing you listed for the houses? I'd love to live right on the oceanfront... anywhere.
What is on the island in the middle? Is that part of the housing development, or is it just an escape? If you can take boats on the water, it would be insanely cool to put a park and activities on the island, making for an amazing getaway from "home"!
The approximate exchange rate is 1 US $ is about 3.7 AED. So just divide the figure by 3.7 you get the approx US $ value. Despite being almost sold out, lots of other infrastructure supporting the development are still being built. Paradise is not meant for living only, you can rent it out to get a handsome rental income
Every one is talking about this. I think its amazing that they built an island artificially. Just goes to show how much money these guys have. They are constantly thinking outside the box and raising the bar for other cities that are major tourist attractions. I don't think anyone can beat the amount of effort they put in to stand out. Its quite something to be noted.
