There are two important facts to bear in mind when considering jobs in Dubai; firstly every level of the labour market is essentially made up of foreign professionals and workers, and secondly the rate at which Dubai is expanding geographically, economically and physically means that there is an annual increase in the number of available jobs in Dubai at the present time.
Dubai has become synonymous with chic, sophisticated and exotic city living and with a rich lifestyle, a wealthy bank balance and a tax friendly business environment. It is therefore of no surprise that there’s an abundance of expatriates moving to work in Dubai and a consistent inward flow of companies establishing operations in Dubai – naturally this means that there is as great a demand for jobs in Dubai as there is demand for professional employees thus creating great opportunity and huge potential.
This kind of development and facilities are expected of such a place where development is taking place at a very fast pace and lot of people from even developed countries are moving here, why, only because this place offers better pay, better work culture and exotic places to live.

i agree with you sanju. Dubai has a lot to offer. And many workers and professionals are trying to apply there. I think Dubai is really a nice place to be in. Although big adjustment is needed for non Muslim people.
I’m new to this forum and I hope you can provide me information about Dubai employment as well as I will be sharing my experience in the future with you guys…and I hope I’m not hijacking your topics-if so genuinely 'apology'for the in convenience.
I come to Dubai 2 months ago, with no intention of finding a job however, having seen tremendous development in Dubai and future prospect I suddenly decided to find a job, it took me one week- first attempt has replied me within 24 hours and I was in high spirits and eager to find the job.
The next following day they asking to provide my degree certificate and 3 copy of passport with visa stamp and 10 pictures, I should have look at it carefully when I was signing their contract -even thought I new it –there is something fishy going on – as the whole process was swift I had no problem with it, until I find out rules in Dubai employment visa is very grim.-they keep you for 3 years under their rule –no escape goat!
The contract I have sign was for Barclays bank official document, but this agency is taking half of payment and keeping my passport until I leave the company –the name of this agency is Derby Marketing LLC-located opposite karama fish market=all their staff is located Barclay branch office working behalf of Barclays.
By the time I realize the whole episode my visa has come out I request for cancellation and they threatening me to leave the country for 3 months as they will not be canceling it and no other firm can hire me.
I went to labor office to avoid impose of penalties and told them what happened- their advise was that by law –they can’t force you to leave the country, and visa will automatically be deleted from the system after 90 days, although till present they asking for my passport. .
I need to get job, or leave the country?
Can some one advise me alternative way of getting employment in U.A.E?
By the way 1’m Bsc “Business and Technology Management” holder from Middle sex university.

I just signed up to this forum this evening. I decided to respond to your email because i thought you might work or know people who work in the construction / project management field in Dubai.
I work as a project manager for a land development company in Perth, Western Australia and have done for the last 18 months. I am 28 years old and now have 3 years project management experience in the land development industry since gradating from an undergraduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
Having spent the day in Dubai on a stop over to Europe last month, i appeciate the scale of construction work that is taking place at the moment and am pretty confident that there are a number of land development / construction project that need good project managers.
I dont really know how this forum works, but if you wouldn't mind passing on my email to someone else you know, either professionally or in this forum i would really appreciate it.
