Is it true that in Dubai the government provides lots of perks to their officials?I have been told by one of my friends,whose dad worked over there as a senior official.

Yes it is true as far as I know; perks are quite generous due to the economy doing quite well with oil revenue and successful diversification.

Definitely lots of perks. The major one is that they give you a beautiful flat, based on need. If you have a family with 2 kids they give you a two bedroom flat. If three kids they give you a three bedroom flat. Other than that, they pay generously, and have a very nice severance package if you leave on good terms.

Oh well it is a very welcome news that the more number of kids you have the more number of rooms you are entitled to. That is a talk besides the main point.It is good that the govt encourages their employs and give them maximum number of benefits.
