Each room is air conditioned and has a viewing balcony outside its windows, giving a magnificent look at the Souks or the creek, depending on your location. The décor in the rooms are neutral colors, and the furniture is made from cherry wood. The executive rooms have an upgrade in size and furnishings, with a separate sitting area for entertaining guests in your room.

Packages for guest or executive room occupants are available throughout your stay, like the internet connection option. You can have what you need or want and leave out what you don’t find necessary during your stay. Thirty-five USD gets you a buffet breakfast, three pieces of laundry per day, discounts and newspapers and a fruit basket on your arrival, among other extras. As an added convenience, one can’t doubt the need to have airport transports taking the hassle of finding a taxi a getting to the hotel or airport out of your hands.

Creek Fronting Location

The Riviera Hotel is situated on Baniyas Street, just fronting the Dubai Creek, and you can watch the views of the dhows filling up for their next journey of the day. If you’re in the area for touring however, there are also major shopping and tourist destinations within an easy distance from the hotel. Dubai Creek is just adjacent to the hotel, and for shopping, Al Ghurair is only one km away from the hotel building, as is Baniyas Square, the Deira Tower and the Clock Tower Roundabout. The gold souk is three kilometers away, and so is the beach, if you want to spend the day buying gold jewelry or on the beach soaking up the sun.

Dining at the Riviera

You have a choice of three restaurants to eat in while staying at the Riviera Hotel, for your meals throughout the day. For Breakfast, there’s a buffet being served at the Al Dana restaurant during the mornings. The menu is usually international dishes with homemade breads, and you can also have an Asian or Japanese breakfast meals. Being served at lunch daily is Arabic fare, or international dishes. For lunch and dinner however, it’s the Hana Restaurant that is open up to the evenings, and the establishment has a Japanese and oriental menu, with a mix of Chinese, Indonesian and Thai specialties every night. The restaurant also offers a good view of Dubai Creek.

A coffee shop where you can spend your time meeting a client, talking with friends, or even just reading the news, the Majlis Al Khor Café is ideal for your light meal needs. You can have refreshments anytime from eight in the morning up to midnight.

Other Services

The Riviera Hotel has other services available for clients, among them conferencing and meeting facilities. For seminars and conferences, the Majlis Al Sultan is the place you want, in the restaurant area, and you can also have your colleagues served up with buffet lunches of dinners from the hotel establishments.

For a smaller, more private meeting with an exclusive group, the area above the café, Majlis Al Khor is a business center where you can meet clients in boardroom-style rooms, with an office you can rent out for your temporary business site, and there’s also internet access from this area.

There is also a host of other services available from the front desk, and you can have the hotel staff help you in whatever concerns that you have. For visa purposes, the hotel provides guests with a transit visa service that can be issued for up to fourteen days at a time. When you avail of this option, you’ll also have to book at the hotel for the full duration of your stay in Dubai at the hotel. The hotel management can send this to you via fax, and this is what you’ll be showing at the airport.

The hotel staff will also send the visa over to the airport in which you’ll be arriving in, and you can claim it before you pass through immigrations. They’ll also be the ones to welcome you upon your arrival in Dubai, picking you up right from the airport so you won’t have any trouble getting to the hotel.
