Does this tradition still persists. Is slavery still not a seriously punishable offense. As it is banned in the most of the countries and Human rights people organizations are very active in these countries.
Not sure what you are saying. But slavery is officially banned in practically all countries and banned under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. But lots of exploitative labor practices still existed in many parts of the world and is akin to slavery.
You can put this way too.As since childhood we have been reading in stories about this slavery concept being practiced mostly in these areas. So that picture still persists. The world all over is not yet done away with 'slavery',as such.
So long as there is vast economic disparity between rich and poor, "slaverty" exists albeit in disguised forms. Hopefully, economic inequality will be minimized over time with globalization.
I also dont think that slavery exists anymore, but im not sure..I have a friend who stayed in Guam and he told me that rich people their have more power than poor people..But im not sure if hes telling the truth or just telling stories..
I think slavery still exists; in some countries. It’s sad to hear stories of experiences of these slaves but what can we do to help them if they live in another country? I think the term Master and Slave still exists; it just evolved and changed the name from Master and Slave to Employer and Employee. The relationship is still the same; the functions are also still the same. The employee follows the employer same thing with master and slave. But the only difference is on how employees and slaves are treated.
If you are asking about slavery in islam; here is the answer. Islam came at a time when slavery was prevalent and greatly improved the situation. It is a great blessing to free a slave and it is highly encouraged to do so. Even if you have a slave, you must strictly adhere to treating them in a fair manner.
In Dubai, people do not usually have slaves except for the rich princes of the city. They have a lot of slaves, I assume, but that goes without saying. They have a lot of money and why not spend it around. Besides, I don't think their slaves mind spending time in their palaces.
