Islam is the official religion of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. It is one of the most liberal places in the Middle East and followers of other religions (except Judaism) are tolerated. Visitors are, however, expected to respect Islam:
* Don’t walk in front of somebody when they are praying.
* Don’t drink alcohol in the street or in public places.
* Avoid passionate displays of affection in public.
* Women should save their beachwear for the beach.
Visitors should also be aware of the special rules that come into effect during the holy month of Ramadan.
But is it the same for them, are they ready to give same amount of respect to other religions?Upto some extent such rules can be implemented but you can not be so strict. Is all this written in their holy books or these rules are formed by the holy men?

well i am not sure if it is written in their holy books or these are just formed by the holy men. and i think they will also respect other people's religions because people have different beliefs and adjustment is what we should learn when we visit such country.
