What about agriculture, is farming done in Dubai or the surrounding ares if yes, then what are the popular crops over here?What kind of fruits are grown here?I was wondering that with sandy soil is it possible to do farming of variety of crops.
The hot desert weather makes agriculture unsuitable so I don't think there are mamy if any farmers in Dubai. Dubai is more of a trading nations with traditional traders and modern traders in suit.
I don't know about this. I would also think that farming would be quite difficult given the hot climate, but I am sure they do have some sorts of food on harvesting. Some may include raddishes and other vegetables that you see Arabs eating, as they don't necessarily eat the same stuff as we do. They also have a lot of date palm trees and dates are a huge part of their diet.
