By relations I am guessing that you mean friendship and relationships with friends. I think married people tend to be much more family oriented on the whole. As for Arabs, although the four wives thing is allowed, it is not very common, but in Islam family does come first. But there is also an important aspect of friendship, which should not be disregarded. Muslims are told to be very careful as to the friends they choose.
