As there is desert areas around, are sand storms frequent in Dubai, if so then it must be a menace over there.It is very uncomfortable during and after the storms.
There are lots of deserts around Dubai. You must understand that Dubai, in fact all of United Arab Emirates, and probably most of the middle east for that matter, is situated in what was previously just a desert. When we used to travel from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, we would go through the road in the deserts. I am not sure about the desert storms as I haven't experienced any harsh ones but they do happen.
