I recommend these books for those of you who would like to know more about Dubai:

The Wells of Memory, An Autobiography by Easa Saleh Al Gung
Dubai Tales by Mohd Al-Murr
Dubai Life and Times by Noor Ali Rashid

The largest bookstore in Dubai is the Book Corner, selling both Arabic and English books.
