Default Dining During Ramadan

The holy month of Ramadan sees Muslims fasting from dawn to dusk. As soon as it is time to break the fast, Dubai comes alive with Ramadan tents in practically every hotel and the feasts go on and on until the next early morning when the fast begins again. Thus locals tend to put on weight during the Ramadan!

It is a very pious occasion for the locals. The visitors are not forced to follow this fasting routine from dawn to dusk. However, as a sign of respect to their religion, visitors are expected to avoid consuming food, drinks, and smoking in public during the fasting hours of the day.
