Default Beach

I’m sure everyone loves beaches, resorts and swimming pools in all parts of the world but I haven't seen anyone promoting nor endorsing beach resorts in Dubai via TV or magazine, is it advertised internationally or locally? Maybe I’m the only one who hasn’t seen their ads. Anyway what is the best beach in Dubai? Is surfing allowed in their beaches, and is it just for tourists? I only heard a few stories about beaches in Dubai and I’m hoping to hear more from the members of this forum site.

I don't know what the best beach is, but Dubai has great beaches. Any one will do. For heaven's sake, the country is in the middle of the desert that opens up to the Arabian peninsula. Amazing beaches. Don't bother being too picky. The only research you may have to do would probably be based on the dress codes, which should only be a problem if you are a female. But still, you can probably find a way to enjoy it.

The major stretch is along Jumeira Road and is known as the Jumeira beach. This is arguably the best beach in Dubai. The sand on these Dubai beaches and soft and white and the inviting shallow waters of the Arabian Sea are warm.

Beautiful sun, sand and water - Dubai has a strange and unique combination of deserts and beaches as one travel writer put it.

Enjoy

It is nice place to enjoy beaches but as earlier also I had put forward this idea that is it the local crowd that enjoy the beaches or it is the tourists pouring in from western areas frequent the beaches in Dubai. It i s not very acceptable to me that people with such conservative thinking can enjoy the beaches in real sense.

I don't see why not. Surfing probably is allowed but not necessarily popular. That is probably why you never see people doing it. Then again it may be prohibited. I thing jetskiing is allowed though. It would probably depend on the beach, but I think they are quite lax about it.
