Home to the Ibn Battuta Mall, Jebel Ali lies south of Dubai towards Abu Dhabi. It is now mainly a residential area with the Palm development going on full steam. The beach is also gorgeous, running 15km along the Arabian Gulf and the last swathe of undeveloped coast.
The Palm project seems like an amazing idea, I can only imagine how ridiculous it would sound when they initially had the idea of making an artificial island. The beach would look amazing, as all the rest of them, as is all other places in the city. I think Jebel Ali would be a cool place to visit and it won't be a pure residential area for too long.
This in fact is the way human progress is amde; the idea will be first condemned as crazy and riduculous and later these people had to swallow their worlds when developments and developments keep sprouting out in Dubai.
