Dubai festival is a regular feature of this place, the whole place is all decked up and lot of people pour in from all over the world to be part of this festival.Lot of my friends make it sure that they don't miss it out.All the top brands are put up at lower prices the rates are slashed and you are sure that the sale they put up is genuine.
I remember when I used to go there when I was a child. The place was huge, the shopping festival was pretty much taking place in the majority of the city, so every place is packed with shoppers, both locals and tourists, trying to take advantage of the prices. There is no problem with the prices because there is so much variety there is pretty much something for everyone.
The DSF is a month long bonanza (mid Jan to mid Feb) of special offers. There are nightly firework displays, heritage events, music and theater, a carpet oasis full of rugs and carpets and international funfair.
Now I remember, there is a special time for it. In the beginning of the year I remember we used to go to Dubai often as they always had things to see. We would go shopping a lot and yes the fireworks were amazing. It was very extravagant, to the point where they have a ship full of fireworks and they fire them from there.
