I hear that there are many foreigners in Dubai that have become millionaires by starting a business and gradually developing it. In fact, I know a couple of guys from my place that went to Dubai as workers and they have now become rich. Of course, they must have worked very hard to reach what they are now.
Same is applicable to anyone in any field. Only hard work gives you success, work hard now and enjoy the benefits later. And people who aim for fast money or easy money without any hard work, will eventually fail miserably. There is a saying: "The harder I work, The luckier I get". That's really a classic one.
I completely agree. Getting rich is rarely luck, unless you win the lottery or find a briefcase with $100k in it. (that may be unethical to keep ) Hard work and discipline can make you rich no matter where you live, but perhaps the business opportunities are great in Dubai. Do you have any examples of what kind of businesses you are talking about?
There are many business opportunities in a place like Dubai. You just have to think outside the box. People from all over the world go there, so it would be hard not to find something to cater to someone. I think if you can find a way to cater to the tourism industry, although it is highly competitive, you may be able to make profits. But Dubai is full of businesses taking these opportunities, so best to try it somewhere else.

i agree. but becoming rich and successful depends on you. and if you want to start a business, you can make it grow as long as you know how to manage it.
I am new member to the Dubai forum and have read the messages sent by members of the forum with great interest. It gives me inspiration not only how to become legally rich in Dubai " Land of Oppurtunities " out of your own toil & sweat but rich alone will not satisfy your life. When you have lots of money you have to think of the poors and the needy. In Islam you have to contribute your monetary wealth to the poors in other countries.By this manner and the principle of Islam you will be blessed with more wealth & health. As for me,to start my business and wishes to be rich specially in Dubai,I think,I have first to find out initially as to whether or not the Multi Rich Property Tycoon in Dubai willing to invest in my country,Malaysia.By any chance if any rich Dubai read this column of the forum, maybe I stand the chance to jump start the business relationship to achieve my ambition.
Perhaps Dubai Tycoon would like to invest in a plot of beautiful piece of land in Malysia to build A Dubai township. The land location is strategic being near to KLIA(Kuala Lumpur International Airport),close to Malaysian Grand Prix circuit and the wet palm villa high prestige housing development. The land is also close to sea side. You have all the benefits to own this land for developments.Currently there is no restrictions for foreigners to own properties including land in Malaysia.
My ultimate aim is to have my own business in my dream country specially in Dubai and other regons of UAE.But first I have to make known to Dubai investors that investing in Malaysia is of no hassle especially if you plan to treat Malaysia as your second home under current Malaysian MM2( Malaysian my second home) program. If by any chance any Dubai investors willing to own a plot of land of about 1000+ acres with the intention of developing a Dubai Township in Malaysia, please do contact me either through to this forum or contact me at my mobile 6-0162320100.
Freehold/Leasehold Land
Foreigners can acquire both freehold and leasehold land in Malaysia. Most leasehold land is owned by the state and leases are usually for 60 or 99 years. At the end of the lease it is fairly easy to renew the lease for a further 99 years upon payment of a premium which is based on the current market value of the property. It is also possible to arrange for a new lease during the period of the existing lease. This involves canceling the existing lease and applying for a new one.
