I’m new to this forum and I hope you can provide me information about Dubai employment as well as I will be sharing my experience in the future with you guys…
I come to Dubai 2 months ago, with no intention of finding a job however, having seen tremendous development in Dubai and future prospect I suddenly decided to find a job, it took me one week- first attempt has replied me within 24 hours and I was in high spirits and eager to find the job.
The next following day they asking to provide my degree certificate and 3 copy of passport with visa stamp and 10 pictures, I should have look at it carefully when I was signing their contract -even thought I new it –there is something fishy going on – as the whole process was swift I had no problem with it, until I find out rules in Dubai employment visa is very grim.-they keep you for 3 years under their rule –no escape goat!
The contract I have sign was for Barclays bank official document, but this agency is taking half of payment and keeping my passport until I leave the company –the name of this agency is Derby Marketing LLC-located opposite karama fish market=all their staff is located Barclay branch office working behalf of Barclays.
By the time I realize the whole episode my visa has come out I request for cancellation and they threatening me to leave the country for 3 months as they will not be canceling it and no other firm can hire me.
I went to labor office to avoid impose of penalties and told them what happened- their advise was that by law –they can’t force you to leave the country, and visa will automatically be deleted from the system after 90 days, although till present they asking for my passport. .
I need to get job, or leave the country?
Can some one advise me alternative way of getting employment in U.A.E?
By the way 1’m Bsc “Business and Technology Management” holder from Middle sex university.
